The player assumes control of Captain Toad, a Toad, and his sidekick Toadette in the game, guiding them through a series of challenges to earn a gold star after each stage.
They are impeded in their progress by Wingo and an army of troublesome adversaries. Fight raging volcanoes, dangerous steam engines, terrifying haunted homes, and even new levels based on the Super Mario Odyssey video game! The good news is that a second player can help out by attacking the antagonists with turnips. Our stubby hero has to navigate numerous courses loaded with hazards and search for prizes.
